Get involved with ASFC!

This spring, run for an ASFC 2024-2025 elected officer position. The candidate application is open now through Thursday, April 18 at 11:59 p.m. Attend an info session this week to learn more. Campaigning begins April 23. Online voting opens April 29 and closes May 1 at 11:59 p.m.

Food Services on Campus

Hilltop Grill (Dining Hall 2200)  and KJ's Café Espresso Bar in the Breezeway (6000), Dining Hall (2200) and PSEC Quad (4400) are open for spring. See hours here.

Campus Construction and Impacts

Effective April 1, please be aware of construction zones and projects that may impact you when on the main Foothill campus this spring.

Smithwick Theatre Roof Replacement — Restrooms & Parking Lot 1A and Lot 1 Stairs Impacted

  • Smithwick Theatre area fenced off and no parking in Lot 1A.
  • Stairs next to Smithwick from Lot 1 will be closed. Please use the walking pathway to Lot 8 and enter the campus through the Lower Campus stairs.
  • No access to the Smithwick Theatre restrooms. Nearest open restrooms are in the Campus Center or Building 1900. 
  • See campus map for parking lot and restroom locations.

Restroom Upgrade Projects — Library (3500) and Vet Tech Area (8507) Impacted

The following restrooms will be closed for construction to all gender facilities.

  • Library (3500) Restrooms — The Library will remain in use, but students who require a distraction-free study space may want to use alternate study rooms in the WLC (3600) and STEM Center (4200).  For nearest restrooms in 4100 and 3000, see campus map.
  • Vet Tech Area (8507) Restrooms — Restrooms on the next floor (8600) will be open.

COVID-19 Update

Effective July 1, 2023, Foothill no longer requires proof of vaccination for on-campus classes and masking is no longer highly encouraged. However, we do encourage you to be vaccinated and keep up with the recommended COVID boosters. 

Also, we ask that you stay home if you do not feel well and to inform the college if you have been on campus and subsequently diagnosed with COVID. See details here.

Parking Permits Not Required for Spring 2024

Parking will be free in the Foothill and Sunnyvale campus parking lots for the 2023-2024 academic year, through spring 2024.

NOTE: Citations will be given for vehicles parked out of the normal parking spaces, in handicap spaces without a display placard, and in red zones.

You'll find ChargePoint EV stations in Parking Lot 6.  See more information.

Stairs Closed from Lot 1 • April 1–Nov. 1, 2024

Due to construction in the Smithwick Theatre, parking in Lot 1A and the stairs next to Smithwick from Lot 1 will be closed. Please use the walking pathway to Lot 8 and enter the campus through the Lower Campus stairs.
