15-Minute Quick Questions Sessions

For quick help,  get in the queue to meet with a counselor during our Quick Question hours. To get in queue, call 650.949.7423 or use the FH Counseling Chat feature and have your CWID ready.

  • Your request for help will be placed in the order received.
  • You can request to meet with a counselor for up to 15 minutes via telephone or Zoom.
  • We start our queue no more than 5-minutes before the sessions begin.
  • We stop adding students to the queue 15-minutes before the session ends, or when the queue is full.

Note: All Quick Question dates and times are subject to change.

Summer Counseling Availability

During the Summer, counselors work limited and rotating shifts. Availability may differ from the regular academic year. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to support students as best we can.

When To See an International Counselor

Appointments must be scheduled specifically with an international counselor for the following reasons:

  • I-20 Extension: counselor recommendation & educational plan
  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) & educational plan
  • Reduced Course Load (less than 12 units)
    Note: When requesting a reduced course load for medical reasons, you must meet directly with the immigration advisor in the International Student Office, not a counselor.

In-person, phone, or zoom meetings available for all of our dual enrollment students at Foothill College.

*High school students can meet any counselor at Foothill College for additional support 

When To See a Dual Enrollment Counselor

 

  • Taking a college-level class that is not about A-G or high school graduation requirements
  •  Planning for a future transfer as a transfer applicant to a four-year university
  •  Earning a certificate/degree at Foothill College as a high school student
  • Students in the College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) pathway wonder how they can use the classes at Foothill College.
 

 

When to Schedule a 30-Minute Appointment Instead

Please keep in mind that educational plans, academic probation issues, financial aid appeals, excess units request, petition for graduation and transcript evaluations will require a 30-minute appointment
