Assessment for Placement
Assessment for Placement
Foothill College's placement process now reflects AB 1705 and our diverse student community. Placement for math, English, ESLL, or chemistry uses multiple measures to assess which course placement is appropriate for you - using your U.S. high school transcript and/or a guided self-placement for students who do not have a U.S. transcript available.
- If you provided your U.S. high school transcript information when applying, your placement is already posted in MyPortal.
- If you did not provide your U.S. high school transcript information or did not attend high school, please email fhtesting@fhda.edu to complete guided self-placement.
With the implementation of AB 1705, students are eligible to enroll directly in transfer-level English, credit level ESLL, and math courses.
