Almost, Maine
Almost, Maine

Written by John Cariani
Directed by Francine Torres
November 6–22, 2026
Lohman Theatre, Los Altos Hills
On a cold, clear, moonless night in the midwinter of rural Maine, the residents of a mythical, unorganized territory called Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and extraordinary ways. Structured as nine standalone vignettes, John Cariani’s acclaimed romantic comedy weaves whimsical magical realism with everyday intimacy. Love is literally carried in trash bags, broken hearts are kept in shoe boxes, and ordinary moments turn upside down under the glow of the Northern Lights. Witty, poignant, and deeply human, Almost, Maine offers a hilarious and touching look at the chaotic magic of human connection.
