Transcript Evaluations
An evaluation service for students interested in officially transferring coursework completed at another college/university AND/OR external exam scores to Foothill College.
General Transcript Evaluations
Transcripts are not automatically evaluated upon submission to Admissions and Records. To transfer coursework to Foothill College, a general transcript evaluation request must be submitted. This request can be made for the following types of transcripts:
- U.S. College/University Offical Transcripts
- DD-214 Military Service Records

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, a student must meet the following requirements:
- currently enrolled in at least one (1) Foothill College course;
- have completed at least six (6) units at Foothill College; and
- have ALL eligible official transcripts filed with Admissions & Records.
Processing Time
Once we have received your request it will be processed in the order received.
Please allow up to 45 days from the time of submitting for it to be processed before attempting to register. Processing times may increase during peak seasons.
Foothill can evaluate U.S. transcripts from regionally accredited colleges and universities. Your completed courses will be reviewed to determine whether they meet Foothill’s course equivalency, satisfy general education requirements (local GE, IGETC, CSU Breadth), or fulfill major coursework. After your evaluation is processed, any approved transfer credits will be added to DegreeWorks.

International credits require a course-by-course evaluation from a recognized credential agency (e.g., WES). The agency must send the evaluation directly to Foothill Admissions & Records. A counselor will determine how the coursework applies. Request a Foreign Transcript Evaluation by contacting Counseling.
External Exam Evaluations
An external exam evalution evaluation request may be submitted for the following types:
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- International Baccalaureate Exam (IB)

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have a Foothill College student identification number (CWID).
- Official external exam transcripts on file with Admissions and Records.
Processing Time

Eligible Advanced Placement Exams will be officially transferred and applied to DegreeWorks.

Eligible College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams will be officially transferred and applied to DegreeWorks.

Eligible International Baccalaureate Exams will be officially transferred and applied to DegreeWorks.

Foreign Transcript Evaluations
Foreign credits may be eligible to transfer over with certain limitations.
All Foreign transcript must meet the following additional requirements:
- Request a course-by-course foreign transcript evaluation, by a third-party evaluation agency, such as World Education Services (WES). For a list of agencies, please click here: Foreign Transcript Evaluation Services.
- Have your foreign transcript evaluation sent directly from the agency to Foothill College.
