TECHNICAL THEATRE IN PRODUCTION I NONCREDIT

- Description: Students will work as crew for a Theatre Arts Department production, leading to public performances. In consultation with faculty, students may choose to work in areas such as set construction, scenic art, properties, costume, makeup, wardrobe, lighting, projections, sound, front of house, running crew, or other production functions as required for the show. No experience is necessary to succeed in this course.

- Description: Students will work in a leadership and/or design position on a Theatre Arts Department production, leading to public performances. In consultation with faculty, students may choose to work in areas such as stage management, house management, scene design, lighting design, projections design, sound design, costume design, makeup design, technical director, lead carpenter, lead rigger, paint charge, wardrobe supervisor, or lead electrician. This course is for advanced Theatre Arts students and practitioners who are ready to take on a position of significant responsibility on a Theatre Arts Department production.

- Advisory: Advisory: Consultation with Theatre Arts faculty is recommended prior to enrollment; students must meet with the instructor during the first week of the quarter to assign crew responsibilities and schedule work hours.
