• Description: Imparts an understanding of components, principles, and operation of digital imaging systems found in diagnostic radiology. Factors that impact image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval are discussed. Compare/contrast different types of digital systems. • Description: Designed as a practicum in a radiographic mammography department. Practical experience is implemented to expose the student to the principles of mammography with emphasis on mastery of the knowledge, insight, and skills required to perform mammographic procedures.
