In The Field

Anthropology Field Programs

Learn anthropology by doing anthropology. Foothill Anthropology offers hands‑on research and field experience locally and internationally to help you build real skills, confidence, and career readiness.

Field Programs Overview

At Foothill, fieldwork is a core part of learning — whether you’re interested in archaeology, cultural research, or applied anthropology.

  • Gain hands‑on experience in excavation, survey, lab analysis, and research.

  • Work alongside faculty and professionals on real projects.

  • No previous field experience is required.

Field programs emphasize both fieldwork and laboratory research so you develop practical skills and intellectual confidence.
