Description: This beginning-level noncredit ESL course focuses on English communication skills within the context of child care and parenting. Students develop skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking while practicing English grammar and vocabulary for communicating with and about children on topics including day-to-day care and safety. This course is part of a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for child development coursework.
