Summer 2026 Important Dates

Most Foothill six-week summer session classes run June 29–Aug. 7. Priority registration begins April 27. Note: Summer session officially runs through Sept. 11.

Get Your Registration Date Log in to MyPortal about two weeks before the registration period begins to get your registration date. Login to MyPortal

Apply & Register for Summer Session

• Admission application now open for new and returning students.
• New International Students: Please visit foothill.edu/international for more information on steps to get started.  If you already possess an F1 Visa and wish to take classes concurrently please submit our online application and follow New Student process.
• April 21—View summer class schedule.
• April 27—Priority registration begins. See dates below.
• June 29—Summer session begins.

Course Registration Dates Based on Priority Enrollment

New students must complete all matriculation steps to receive priority registration for Summer Session.

Continuing students must have enrolled during Spring Quarter to qualify for the best registration date.

Reason for Priority Registration Priority registration is set up for first-time college students with a goal of obtaining their first degree or certificate. If you've previously attended college or a university and/or received a degree, you will not be able to receive priority higher than Group 6. In accordance with state and local regulations, students are assigned registration dates in the following order. You may register from your assigned start date through June 28.

Paying Your Fees

Please Remember: Payment in full is required at the time of registration and when adding subsequent classes. You may enroll in an installment payment plan via your MyPortal account.

Dates TBA: Drop for nonpayment on cumulative fee balances of $250 or more will occur by end of day.

Important Dates and Add/Drop Deadlines

• Last day to ADD/DROP classes: For deadlines to drop with a refund and without and with a "W" grade, LOG IN to MyPortal > SELECT Student Registration Tile > SELECT View Registration Information> SELECT Term and Campus > SELECT Course Title > SELECT Important Dates. For help, see MyPortal Registration Guide. All deadlines are enforced.
• Final Exams: Last class meeting.

Additional Notes Payment in full is required at the time of registration and when adding classes. You may enroll in an installment payment plan via MyPortal. You can add a class with an instructor’s add code during the first week only during summer session.  For non-standard length classes, check “View Your Class Schedule” in MyPortal under Student Registration.
