Foothill's fall quarter runs Sept. 21–Dec. 11. Registration begins Monday, July 27.

May 1—Admission application opens for new and returning students.
April 21—View fall class schedule.
July 27—Priority registration begins. See dates below.
Aug. 15—Last day for international students to apply.
Sept. 21—Fall Quarter begins.

Course Registration Dates Based on Priority Enrollment

New students must complete all matriculation steps to receive priority registration for Fall Quarter.

Continuing students must have enrolled during Spring Quarter to qualify for the best registration date.

Reason for Priority Registration

Priority registration is set up for first-time college students with a goal of obtaining their first degree or certificate. If you've previously attended college or a university and/or received a degree, you will not be able to receive priority higher than Group 6

In accordance with state and local regulations, students are assigned registration dates in the following order. You may register from your assigned start date through Sept. 20.

July 27 – Sept. 20	Veterans, Foster Youth, DSPS, EOPS, CalWorks, Student Parents. amd Rising Stars students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have declared an academic major. exceptions apply
July 28 – Sept. 20	Athletes, CL and MESA Students who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have declared an academic major and have an updated education plan.
July 29 – Sept. 20	Continuing students who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; updated education plan and have declared an academic major.
Aug. 3 – Sept. 20	New, fully matriculated college students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.
Aug. 4 – Sept. 20	New, non-matriculated college students who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major BUT have not completed assessment, orientation or an educational plan.
Aug. 5 – Sept. 20	Transfer students (from any other college) and returning students (who have completed one term at Foothill College) who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.
Aug. 6 – Sept. 20	All other college students, including continuing students, who have not declared a major or who have not selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; who have completed more than 100 degree-applicable units; who hold a degree; and/or had two terms on academic probation.
Aug. 10 – Sept. 20	Dually-enrolled high school students who are freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors or meet other criteria to attend Foothill College.

Paying Your Fees

Please Remember: Payment in full is required at the time of registration and when adding subsequent classes. You may enroll in an installment payment plan via your MyPortal account.

Dates TBA: Drop for nonpayment on cumulative fee balances of $250 or more will occur by end of day.

Adding Classes After the Quarter Begins

You can add a class with an instructor's add code/permission during the first two weeks of the quarter only.
When you add classes, you must pay all fees at the time of registration.
You will not be permitted to submit add codes after the end of the second week. Plan accordingly.

Important Dates and Add/Drop Deadlines

Deadlines listed below apply to standard 12-week classes. For non-standard classes, check “View Your Class Schedule” in MyPortal.

Monday, Sept. 21	First day of Fall Quarter 2026
Thursday, Oct. 1	Last day to petition for a Fall associate degree for transfer (ADT).
Sunday, Oct. 4	Last day to add 12-week, quarter-length classes. Add date is enforc ed.
Sunday, Oct. 4	Last day to drop for a full refund or credit (12-week quarter-length classes). For all other classes, refund/credit deadlines appear in MyPortal. LOG IN to MyPortal > SELECT Apps > Under Students, SELECT Student Registration > VIEW Your Class Schedule. For help, see MyPortal Registration Guide. All deadlines are enforced.
Wednesday, Nov. 11	Veterans Day Observance — Campus Closed
Friday, Nov. 13	Last day to drop with a “W.” Withdraw date is enforced.
Thursday–Sunday, Nov. 26–29	Thanksgiving Holiday Recess (no classes)
Tuesday, Dec. 1	Deadline to petition for Fall Quarter degree or graduation.
Monday–Friday, Dec. 7–11	Final exams
Friday, Dec. 11	Last day to request pass/no pass grade. Request date is enforced. You may complete the form online in MyPortal before the term begins. Once the term begins, you must submit a signed online form to Admissions & Records.
Friday, Dec. 11	Last day of Fall 2026 Quarter
Monday, Dec. 14–Jan. 1	Winter Recess
Monday, Dec. 21	View Fall grades in MyPortal
Monday, Jan. 4	First day of Winter 2027 Quarter
