How to Apply

The Neurodiagnostic Technology Program is a 21-month program with selective admission. Before applying, please see prerequisites (link to NDT Prereqs).

Important Note

PLEASE READ the program application information and instructions carefully.

Step 1: Attend an Information Session

You must attend an Information Session to receive information on the application process and sign up for an advisory appointment. Please see the Information Session page for a link to our virtual information session. The virtual information session does not replace the need to attend an in person information session at this time, but it does provide valuable information about our program and a career as a neurodiagnostic technologist. All information sessions are currently being held via Zoom.

Step 2: Apply to Foothill College for General Admission

Step 3: Complete Application for Neurodiagnostic Technology Program

The Neurodiagnostic Technology program is a selective/competitive admissions program. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available enrollment spaces.

Step 4: Submit Application Requirements

The following application requirements will be uploaded as attachments to your online application.

• A resume and cover letter, citing education, volunteer and work experience

Live Information Session

All applicants must attend a live (online) information session for detailed information on the application process and the program prior to submitting their application. The live information sessions are currently held virtually (via Zoom). No reservations are necessary, but we do request require that attendees attend the entire session.

Admission Policy

Admission is based on criteria approved by Foothill College and consistent with State and Federal law, regulations, and Program accreditation guidelines. Primary admission criteria include completion of prerequisite courses with a C or better, possessing the minimum GPA prerequisite, and compliance with the technical standards stated in the application.

Selection Procedure

Completed electronic applications are received by the March 31st deadline and reviewed for accuracy by cross-referencing all transcripts on file. All applications meeting the admission criteria are placed in a lottery.

Final selection is made during May every odd year, and applicants will be notified by email of acceptance or non-acceptance by late May via email.

Lottery Selection

12 eligible students are randomly drawn and admitted to the program only once every other year, beginning with a twelve-week Fall session that starts in September.
