Dear Foothill Faculty and Friends,
I just wanted to write you one last time as your academic senate president to wish you all a wonderful and hopefully restful summer. It's been quite a year (and this morning's national news just gives one more exclamation point to that fact), but as the messages from our college leadership have emphasized this week, Foothill's resilience appears to be strong. I hope yours personally is, too. I know I am looking forward to having my batteries recharged abroad, as I board the plane tomorrow to head over to our Ireland program.
I am also excited to formally welcome in our 2022-23 Executive Committee of the academic senate under the leadership of our new officer's team (loud cheers going off in my head right now):
President: Voltaire Villanueva
Executive Vice President: Jordan Fong
Vice President of Curriculum (Faculty Chair of the CCC): Eric Kuehnl
Secretary/Treasurer: Robert Cormia
Faculty Chair of COOL: Kerri Ryer
It really takes quite a bit of effort to fill these leadership roles, and I hope you join me in thanking them for stepping up and into these important positions!
I look forward to seeing many of you at graduation in just a few hours. Raising a glass to you all.
Kathryn Maurer, PhD.
