Freshta Habib profile

I'm passionate about using technology to protect children online, especially as AI-generated content becomes harder to distinguish from reality. That passion has motivated me to turn my ideas into something practical. One of my accomplishments is building a working MVP, tested end-to-end on real hardware, designed to detect AI-generated video content in real time. My project focuses on giving parents tools to help keep their children safer while using popular social media and video apps without disrupting the normal browsing experience. Building this project has also allowed me to apply many of the skills I've developed through ETI. The biggest impact ETI has had on my journey is helping me move from just learning about technology to actually building and working with it hands-on. Through ETI, I've gained real, practical experience in cybersecurity, AWS and cloud environments, designing cybersecurity labs, and exploring AI-generated and manipulated media detection, turning what used to be theory into skills I can actually apply.

Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting digital systems, networks, and information from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and other security threats. As our reliance on connected technologies continues to grow, cybersecurity has become essential for safeguarding everything from personal data and financial transactions to critical infrastructure and national security. It combines knowledge from computer science, networking, cryptography, risk management, and human behavior to identify vulnerabilities, prevent attacks, and respond to emerging threats. Cybersecurity professionals use a combination of technical tools, strategic thinking, and continuous monitoring to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated adversaries. By strengthening the security of digital environments, cybersecurity helps build trust, protect privacy, and ensure that technology remains safe, reliable, and resilient in an interconnected world.
