Workforce Grants: Perkins & Strong Workforce Program
Foothill College supports faculty and staff in advancing high-quality Career Technical Education through access to dedicated workforce grants. These resources help strengthen programs, expand learning opportunities, and ensure students gain the skills and experience needed for today’s career pathways.
Perkins GrantThe Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act provides federal funding to
strengthen Career Technical Education programs at Foothill College. Perkins resources
support instructional equipment and technology upgrades, curriculum improvements,
faculty professional development, data-informed planning, and work-based learning
experiences that prepare students for the workforce. |
Strong Workforce Program (SWP)
The Strong Workforce Program expands opportunities for students to earn industry-recognized credentials and secure employment in high-demand fields. SWP funding helps build new programs, enhance existing offerings, and strengthen collaboration across colleges, employers, and community partners. This support allows faculty and staff to scale work-based learning, improve student services, close equity gaps, and increase the number of students who achieve their education and career goals. Through SWP, Foothill College remains responsive to labor-market needs and continues to advance economic mobility for our diverse student community.
