INTRODUCTION TO WOMEN'S STUDIES

- Description: Examination and development of the goals, major documents, history, achievements, and evolution of the current women's movement in light of the impact and contributions of women, in comparison to those of men, of various cultural and ethnic heritage. Includes appraisal of the effects of multiculturalism and the women's movement on politics, jobs, education, science, family structure, and the arts.

- Advisory: Advisory: Demonstrated proficiency in English by placement via multiple measures OR through an equivalent placement process OR completion of ESLL 125 & ESLL 249.

- Hours: 4 hours lecture per week. 48 hours total per quarter.
