Registered pharmacy technicians are in great demand nationwide, throughout California, and especially in the Bay Area.
By studying Pharmacy Tech, you can work in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, hospitals, nursing homes, retail, home health care, and public and government health agencies.
The Foothill College Pharmacy Technician Program curriculum is a nine-month sequence of instruction, with entry in the Fall Quarter only. The program is an ASHP/ACPE nationally accredited program.

To apply for the program at that time, you will need to follow the steps below.
Course Description
This a 1-unit prerequisite course that provides detailed program information, application process and everything you would like to know about our ACPE/ASHP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program and careers in pharmacy tech.

- This an "in-person" course
- Foothill Main Campus Room 8708
- Class will meet only twice:
- First class session: Saturday 5/9: 10:00am to 3:50pm
- Second-class session: Saturday 5/30: 10:00am to 3:50pm
- **You must be present for BOTH scheduled class sessions.**
If this is your FIRST time taking a class at Foothill College, you must "APPLY FOR ADMISSION" first to receive your CWID (Campus-wide ID) number to register for classes.
Click on the BLUE box "APPLY for Admission" and complete the application form.
After you receive your CWID number, please login to your Portal and register for the PHT 200L class.

First: Do you have a Student ID (CWID)?
To access the online Pharmacy Technology Application form, you will need your 8-digit Student CWID (Campus-wide ID) to log in to MyPortal.
- If you HAVE applied for admission to Foothill or De Anza College (even if you have never taken classes), you already have a CWID number.
- If you have NEVER applied for admission to Foothill College or De Anza College, you will need to FIRST complete the FOOTHILL COLLEGE ADMISSION APPLICATION before starting the Pharmacy Technician application process.
