Getting Started
Take the First Step
You do not need to pursue a degree or enroll in a full schedule. Many lifelong learners begin by taking just one class.
Browse the class schedule and choose a subject that interests you.
Classes may be offered during the day or evening and in online, hybrid, or in-person formats.

Students taking classes for personal enrichment may apply as non-degree-seeking students. You do not need to select a degree or certificate simply to take a class.
After your application is processed, you will receive information about accessing your student account and registering for classes.
Our staff can help you find a class, understand the registration process, and complete the necessary steps.
Review your class dates, meeting times, location, required materials, and instructor information.
For an online class, you will receive instructions for accessing Foothill’s online learning system. For an in-person class, review parking, transportation, accessibility, and campus-map information before your first visit.
