Covers all tuition and fees not covered by other programs; Students must meet one of the criteria listed on the Foothill College Promise webpage to receive textbook coverage through the program.

No repayment needed

For first-time college students who qualify for in-state tuition rates, complete a FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application, and maintain full-time enrollment (Fall, Winter and Spring)

California College Promise Grant (formerly known as the BOG [Board of Governors] Fee Waiver)

Waives per-unit enrollment fees and reduces quarterly parking permit fee

No repayment needed

For eligible California residents and AB 540 students

Cal Grant A

Up to $5,742 for tuition and fees

and

Up to $6,000 for students with dependents (SWD)

To be eligible at Foothill, must have SWD or FY award or be enrolled in Foothill's Dental Hygiene bachelor in science (B.S.) degree program

Cal Grant B

Up to $1,648

California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program

Up to $3,000

To be eligible to apply, must be a California Dream Act Application student with an active Cal Grant B award

Students registered in the program must complete community or volunteer service hours each term to receive a payment

Chafee Grant

Up to $5,000

No repayment needed

For students who are or were in foster care for at least one day between the ages of 16 and 18 as a dependent or ward of the court, and who have financial need

Federal Direct Subsidized Loan

Up to $3,500 for freshmen; Up to $4,500 for sophomores;

Up to $5,500 for Dental Hygiene students

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan

Up to $6,000 for freshmen and sophomores;

Up to $7,000 for Dental Hygiene students
