Find Out if You're Eligible to Get Your Fees Waived
Formerly Known as the BOG Fee Waiver, The California College Promise Grant is funded by the State of California to fully waive the enrollment fees charged to eligible California residents and AB 540 students who are attending community college.
To determine your eligibility for the California College Promise Grant, you need to complete either the FAFSA, if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; the CA Dream Act if you fall into the category of AB 540 students; or the California College Promise Grant application.
California College Promise Grant: Fast & SimpleState law requires that students attending California Community Colleges pay enrollment fees.

Find Out if You're Eligible for Other Types of Aid
If you submit a California College Promise Grant application, we also encourage you to find out if you are eligible for other types of financial aid by filing either a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application.
* Important: You MUST REAPPLY for the California College Promise Grant for each new academic year (July 1 - June 30).
Also, beginning effective Fall 2016, California Community College students receiving the California College Promise Grant must meet minimum academic and progress standards to remain eligible for the California College Promise Grant.

* Important Note: For Dental Hygiene Bachelor's degree seekers: who wish to apply for a California College Promise Grant (formerly the Board of Governors Fee Waiver) pursuant to Education Code Section 76300 shall be required to complete and submit either a Free Application for Federal Student Aid or a California Dream Act Application in lieu of completing the California College Promise Grant (formerly known as the BOG [Board of Governors] Fee Waiver) application.
