General Counseling Appointments (Accordion)

Foothill College offers 30-minute general counseling appointments — in person, by telephone and online zoom video. Appointments are limited and the appointment system allows you to book up to 7 days in advance. Select your preferred appointment type below and review how to prepare for your meeting.

Telephone Appointment

Please be prepared to be engaged in this phone appointment as if you were in person with a counselor. If you are driving, your appointment will be rescheduled. It is helpful to have access to a device (computer, tablet, or phone) with internet so the counselor can direct you to important information. However, this is not a requirement.

Transfer Planning

You can make an appointment with ALL counselors in General Counseling or the Transfer Center to get assistance with tranedsfer to a 4-year university. Both offices provide the same transfer support. Visit the Transfer Center website to access additional transfer services and resources.

Help Choosing a Major

To earn a degree from Foothill,  you'll declare a college major—a concentrated area of study intended to help you acquire specialized knowledge about a particular subject.

 

General Education (GE) Requirements

Both associate and bachelor degrees include two types of classes: general education (GE) and courses for your major. Review and select your GE plan for requirements.

Graduation (Router Panel)

One quarter prior to your estimated graduation date, meet with a counselor to go over the degree requirements and submit the Petition for Graduation.
