Service Leadership

Service Leadership at Foothill College

Initiative Overview

Service leadership is Foothill College's unique vision for educating students while preparing them to be community and global leaders. Service leadership happens in and outside of the classroom, allowing students to feel more engaged in the college community, and to give back to our neighbors.

Projects are shared at venues throughout the year, culminating in the Research & Service Leadership Symposium where students, faculty and staff share their work with a broader audience.

Service leadership at Foothill College is built with these concepts:

Service Learning • Leadership Courses • Civic Engagement • Scholarship Research and Publication • 21st Century Skills (CTE) • Community Service • Equity
