Dr. Michelle Pacansky-Brock is a noted leader in higher education with expertise in online teaching, course design, and faculty development. Michelle’s work has helped online instructors, instructional designers, and institutional leaders across the nation and beyond understand how to craft relevant, humanized online learning experiences that support the diverse needs of college students. Student Panel and Survey Discussion

Are you intrigued by what our students think/know about learning outcomes? Do you want to know when our students think learning has occurred in the classroom? Come join us to learn directly from our students about these questions.

11:30–Noon
CAP-Level Outcomes Introduction

Do you know what a CAP is? Do you know which CAP your area is situated in? What are commonalities between your area and other areas within the CAP? What are the learning outcomes for students completing classes in this CAP?

Noon–1:30 p.m.
Dining Hall  • Lunch

Pasta Bar! Join colleagues for a delish meal including a Caprese salad, your choice of gnocchi, rigatoni, or farfalle pasta with puttanesca mushroom cream, marinara, or vodka sauce. Top grilled chicken and lemon tarragon vegetables. Did you say dessert? Lemon bars and brownies!

1:30–2:30 p.m.
CAP Level Outcome Debrief

2:30–4:30 p.m.
Equity in the CORs

Have you been hearing talk about adding equity to the COR but not known how that might look in practice? Does the proposition of changing our CORs make your head spin? We have five years to ensure that every course outline is rewritten with an equity mindset. In this workshop we will begin the conversation about how (and why!) to do so to lay a framework for intentional and substantial COR updates.

2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Classified Staff Led Section
Hearthside Lounge

Classified Staff discuss updates, goals & topics for the year. Come meet your fellow Classified Staff. TEAs (and everyone) welcome!
