Updates for Spring Quarter; Classes Start April 13

April 3

The staff and faculty of Foothill College are preparing for the start of the Spring Quarter on April 13. All classes will be delivered virtually using Canvas, Zoom, email and other online tools. In addition, all student services are available virtually as well. Please go to the Foothill College Virtual Campus web page for all the information you need.

We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, but please know that Foothill College is here to support you. Students who are food or housing insecure can access services and support on the Housing, Hunger, and Health web page. This page can also connect you with mental health resources.

Please let us know how we can help you with your technological needs. The Virtual Student Technology Hub is your one-stop-shop for all technology questions.

The college will be refunding some student fees associated with the spring quarter. The VTA fee will be automatically credited back to your credit card (or a check will be mailed to those who paid by cash). In addition, spring quarter parking fees will be credited to your Foothill account. You can use this credit in the fall or you can request a full refund here. The college is still charging other student body fees as we are still offering services (Health Clinic, Psychological Services, etc.) associated with those fees.

The CSU and UC systems are working to support community college students as well. This week, the UC system confirmed that it will accept all 2020 winter, spring, and summer "PASS" grades. In addition, the CSU system will accept "PASS" grades for the same quarters for sections A1, A2, A3, B4 of the CSU GE/Breadth requirements, as well as all other General Education and major prerequisite courses. We recommend that you talk with your Foothill counselor before you opt to take a class P/NP.

Please be sure to join President Nguyen for her weekly chats on Wednesdays and Thursdays at noon. Ask questions, get information in real time, and meet fellow students! Stay informed and stay engaged.

Take care, stay home unless you have to go out for essential supplies, and look after yourself. We'll get through this together!
