ASFC Boards of Government

Finance Board

To develop and recommend to the ASFC Campus Council such legislation, policies, codes, regulations, ASFC activities, and declarations as may be necessary to effectively implement, develop and coordinate ASFC activities and programs in the areas of Finance, Fundraising and ASFC Business Operations.

Vice President of Finance

The Vice President of Finance shall:

  1. Serve as the chief executive officer of the Finance Board of Directors
  2. Assume the duties of president in the absence of the ASFC President
  3. Serve as a voting member of the ASFC Campus Council.
  4. Be a member of the President's Cabinet.
  5. Be an ex-officio voting member of all commissions, committees and agencies represented on the ASFC Finance Board of Directors.
  6. Assume other duties as may devolve to his/her office, or as amy be assigned to his/her office by the ASFC Campus Council or the President's Cabinet.

Appointed Positions


Budget Analyst (5 positions)

  • Be proficient in operating Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attend all Commissions and Committees meeting under the Finance Board
  • Serves as a Voting member of the Budget Commissions
  • Meet with the ASFC Accountant or the Student Accountants at less than one hour per week, get the historical information of each line item on the ASFC budget, and analyze the budgeted and actual expenses, using Microsoft Excel.
  • Make a report for each line item and present them in Finance Board meetings, before presenting them during the budget deliberation process.Organize all the Budget Requests and Finance Board documents.



Business Operations Specialist

  • Be proficient in operating Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Attend all Commissions and Committees’ meetings under the Finance Board.In the absence of ASFC Vice President of Finance, assume the duties and responsibilities of that officer, unless the Campus Council decides otherwise.
  • Understand the history and the overall conditions of ASFC businesses.
  • Visit ASFC businesses monthly, analyze their financial reports, including revenue, expenses, etc., and present them in Finance Board meetings before further presenting them to the Campus Council.




The ASFC Campus Council meets weekly on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in Toyon Room (2020).
