Summer Intensive English Program

The Summer Intensive English Program is a great opportunity for international students with lower English proficiency scores to start their studies at Foothill College in the Summer quarter and transition directly into the Fall quarter.

The program will begin on July 1, 2019 and end August 22, 2019. The brochure will be availalbe soon for download.

Program cost is $2,500 and includes:

Tuition and enrollment fees

Mandatory health insurance

125 hours of intensive English training

10 units of Foothill College credit

Small class with personal attention

Field trip to Bay Area sights and attractions

Guaranteed admission for the Fall quarter upon completion of the program

Please note:

Housing, books, transportation, and personal expenses are NOT included in the program cost.

There is a $500.00 USD non-refundable deposit to enroll in the program. It is ONLY be refundable if you provide written proof that the U.S. Embassy denied you F-1 Visa application.

Application Requirements

For admission consideration, please submit the following documents to our office by the deadline dates:
1. International Student Application
2. Original financial letter
3. Transcripts (high school and/or college). If you are under 18 years old, you must provide proof of high school completion before May 24, 2019.
4. Summer Intensive Reply Form - check back soon
5. Application fee of $75.00 USD
6. Shipping fee of $75.00 USD

Deadline dates

Applicants outside of the U.S. – May 20, 2019

Applicants in the U.S. – June 17, 2019

All application documents must be submitted by the due date. Remaining $2,000 due upon arrival.

Fall Quarter Orientation

All students who successfully complete the Summer Intensive English Program are required to attend the regular fall quarter orientation in late August or early September.
