About the Summit
We are excited to announce that Xiuhtezcatl will be the keynote speaker for the Third Annual Ethnic Studies Summit. As a hip hop artist, Xiuhtezcatl’s lyrics are “anchored by the Mexica roots of his father’s side and the environmental justice work his mother raised him in.” As a climate activist, youth leader, and author from a young age, and one of 2019’s Time Next 100, Xiuhtezcatl “connects people through popular culture and shares the message of his indigenous roots to better serve the planet and reimagine the future for his generation.”
Register by Wednesday, Feb. 28
Note: A zoom option for the keynote will be provided for those who are unable to attend in person.)

Our annual event is meant to introduce and promote Ethnic Studies to our students so that they may walk away with a better understanding of how to apply Ethnic Studies to their education, apply it to their lives, and ultimately to take an Ethnic Studies course.
Foothill College is located at 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022. Parking is free for winter quarter.
