Biography:

Ms. Miyasaki is currently the Director of the Foothill College Dental Assisting Program. She also teaches RDAEF/RDHEF functions for the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry. Ms. Miyasaki received her Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Assisting from Foothill College, and her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene at the UCSF School of Dentistry. She then went on to complete her Masters of Science degree in oral biology at her previous alma mater, UCSF. Ms. Miyasaki taught at UCSF, Department of Dental Public Health and Hygiene from 1989 to 1991 and served as clinical director of dental hygiene from 1990-91.

She joined the dental staff at Foothill College in 1991 where she has remained. Ms. Miyasaki has always enjoyed dental assisting in private practice. She is delighted to be teaching dental assisting at Foothill College and finds teaching both fun and rewarding. Each year, her students mention that they appreciate her enthusiasm and guidance.
