Biography:

I grew up in the North Bay, Santa Rosa area, where I started out my Community College experience as a student majoring in Physics at Santa Rosa Junior College. I loved physics, but loved English classes even more, so I transferred as an English Major to UCSB, and continued my post-graduate study of literature at SFSU, in the Comparative literature department. After Graduate school, I've focused my academic energies on teaching, and hope that I have created valuable learning experiences for students at Foothill, where I have worked for the last 15 years. Teaching and learning are very important to who I am.

Personal Quote:

"A man should be just cultured enough to be able to look with suspicion
upon culture"--Samuel Butler
