Tutoring Moves to Virtual Format

All STEM Center, TLC, and Pass The Torch  tutoring moves online. See our Tutoring website for more information.

The collaborative iniciative between Puente and Umoja is collectively known as The Village.  STEM Center supports The Village by providing STEM faculty tutors on The Village locatin.  This is an effort to identify how the STEM Center can best support The Village.

About  the Puente Program:

The mission of the Puente Project is to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations. Puente is open to all interested students.

About the Umoja Program:

Umoja, a Kiswahili word meaning unity, is a year-long learning community dedicated to enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African American and other students.

We actively serve and promote student success through a curriculum focused on the legacy of the African and African American diasporas.

Note: You'll need a quiet space and a computer with a microphone.
