Description: Introduction to the radiological sciences and its role in health care. Focus on the use of ionizing radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and on the health professionals responsible for providing this medical specialty. Discussion of requirements for the Radiologic Technology Program. Three hours hospital observation included.

Footnote: Class runs from 07/14/2025- 08/13/25 R T -200L-01: Class will be in Room 5611 on Monday 7/14 and Wednesday 7/16 from 8:00-11:00 am and on Wednesday 7/23, Monday 8/11, and Wednesday 8/13 from 8:00–10:00 am. Each student will be assigned one 3-hour lab session in room 5305 on Monday 7/21 between 8 am-3 pm. One 3-hour clinic visit will also be assigned during the course. Lab and clinic visits will be assigned the first week of class. All students will complete 18 hours of instruction.
