Description:
Course provides skills development opportunities in environmental horticulture for the Summer season. This is an extension of classroom instruction, covering topics such as irrigation system installation and maintenance, fruit tree pruning, Integrated Pest Management, landscape construction, summer landscape maintenance and water conservation practices. The course offers students learning opportunities through a combination of on-site practical field experience, independent research, student internship, community service and industry related educational opportunities in the green industry.
