Class Schedule

• Description: An introduction to biological molecules, cellular structure and function, bioenergetics, the genetics of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, cell communication and signaling, the cell cycle, and elements of molecular biology. Intended for biology majors.
• Prerequisite: CHEM 1A.

• Advisory: Advisory: Students taking the biology majors' sequence (BIOL 1A, 1B, 1C) are strongly advised to take the sequence in its entirety.

• Hours: 4 hours lecture per week, 6 hours lab per week. 120 hours total per quarter.
