COVID-19 Health & Safety

Protocols for Exempted Students

The following policies and protocols are for students with a college-approved medical or religious exemption.

The "72-Hour Rule"

Students who are not vaccinated and take in-person or hybrid courses must provide COVID-19 laboratory results within 72 hours of arrival to class. For more detail, refer to our testing calendar

Valid Tests

Foothill College Student Health Services accepts the following test types: Antigen, NAAT, and PCR type testing. Antibody testing is not accepted.

Failure to Comply

Test or lose your exemption. Upload COVID-19 test results to the student health portal as soon as you receive them. You will not be able to attend a class if you do not provide a negative COVID-19 test. Failure to comply may result in you being dropped from your courses.

Uploading Your Test Results

Uploading your test results is simple and only takes a few minutes. You need to log in to the student health portal, click "Document Upload" from the top of the screen, and select "Foothill COVID-19 Test Results" from the drop-down menu to upload your test results. For detailed instructions, refer to the Student Health Portal Guide.

Course Changes

If you cannot attend class in person due to illness, vacation, your professor canceling class, or if you drop your course, you must notify our COVID response team using the Course Change form.
