Lead a Study Abroad Program

Foothill Faculty: Are you interested in leading a study abroad program?

Consider applying to be a lead for the Spring 2027 quarter-long study abroad program

The application period is now open for the role of “Faculty Lead” for our Spring 2027 Quarter-Long Study Abroad Program offered through the Office of Global Experiential Learning (GEL). Two full-time, tenured faculty will be selected to lead a group of 30-40 students abroad for an 8-10 week program in a destination still to be determined. The short list of destinations we will select from is:

1. Santiago, Chile
2. Buenos Aires, Argentina
3. Rabat, Morocco
4. Prague, Czech Republic

All full-time, tenured instructional faculty are eligible to apply for these positions. The application and instrucitons can be found here:

Program proposals for short-term faculty designed & led programs If you are interested in developing a faculty-led/designed global epxeriential learning program for Foothill students and/or the boader community, similar to the Spring Environmental Justice in Cuba program, or the Summer Anthropology Field Schools, please reach out to the Global Experiential Learning Office to receive a proposal template and support for completing the form. Please note that the deadline for submitting proposals for Summer 2027 or the 2027-2028 academic year is June 1, 2026.  For more information about either opportunity please email us at globalexperiences@fhda.edu.
