Umoja Cohort in Ghana, Spring 2025

Foothill Umoja Goes to Ghana!

Eleven Foothill Umoja scholars and three Umoja faculty will be traveling to Ghana from March 30-April 12, 2025.

The trip is designed to embody multiple Umoja practices focused on deepening understanding of how African history and modern African culture relate to cultural identity and lived experiences in the United States.

The program will also address an equity gap in access to study abroad opportunities for African American students in community colleges.
