I was born in Sacramento, California. Attended Santa Barbara City College and transferred
to UC San Diego (Muir College) from Mesa College in San Diego. Completed a BA in Literature/Writing
in 2005. Attended SF State for graduate school, where I earned an MA in English (2009)
and and MFA in Creative Writing (2011). Both of my thesis documents are available
on Amazon: On Our Way Home and Earthwork: Short Stories. Began working at Foothill College in September of 2011 as an adjunct in the Language
Arts Department. Taught from 2011 - 2018 at Foothill College, De Anza College, West
Valley College, and SF State. From 2016 - 2019, worked in the Writing and Language
Center (WLC) at Foothill College. In July of 2019, moved to the Outreach department
to coordinate dual enrollment partnerships and have been working in my current supervisor
position since January 2020.
My Work at Foothill
Supervise dual enrollment CCAP and MOU partnerships with local high schools;
Organize annual outreach events: Parent Orientation, Counselor Breakfast, Dual Enrollment
Summit, Day on the Hill;
Provide outreach support for campus programs (upon request);
Conduct campus tours for individuals, families, small and large groups;
Attend tabling events at local schools and community organizations;
