Carol Rains-Heisdorf
Carol Rains-Heisdorf is an institutional research coordinator at Fresno City College (FCC). FCC is part of State Center Community College District (SCCCD) along with Reedley College, Clovis Community College, Madera Center, Oakhurst Center, and the Career and Technology Center.
Rains-Heisdorf has worked for SCCCD for more than 10 years. She has held several classified professional positions including department secretary, office assistant III, administrative aide, and research assistant. Ms. Rains-Heisdorf also served as a classified professional at Fresno Pacific University for four years in the positions of student success coordinator, international student program coordinator, and assessment systems manager. As the assessment systems manager she assisted with the university’s WASC accreditation and developed the evidence website for the visiting team.
In her current role as IR coordinator she is actively involved in participatory governance and has served on numerous committees. She is currently a member of the Program Review Committee, Institutional Research and Effectiveness Committee, Outcomes and Assessment Committee, Human Resources Committee, Strategic Planning Council, and Accreditation Steering Committee. In addition, Rains-Heisdorf was elected as an FCC Classified Senate representative and was recently selected to serve on the California Community College Classified Senate (4CS) Board as the Central 2 Area Representative.
Rains-Heisdorf began her educational career at the FCC Career and Technology Center where she earned a Certificate in Computerized Accounting. She completed her undergraduate work through Reedley College and transferred to California State University Fresno (CSUF). After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies with a Certificate in Victims Services, she completed a Master of Arts in Education – Leadership and Administration.
