STEM Center Volunteers
Submit a Volunteer of Record (VOR) Form
Every STEM Center Volunteer is required to complete and submit a Volunteer of Record (VOR) form — every year.
- Download, print, and submit Volunteer Of Record (VOR) Form
- Do not start until your VOR is approved and you are given authorization to begin.

Tutoring Standards
STEM Center Volunteer Tutors must comply with the same standards of tutoring as STEM Center Faculty Tutors.
Volunteer Guidelines
The following guidelines are specific to Volunteer responsibilities:
- ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE: Each Volunteer should identify themselves to the Faculty Tutors when they arrive at theSTEM Center to start their shift. Also let Faculty Tutors know when your shift is completed and you are leaving.
- WRITE VOLUNTEER NAME ON THE BOARD: Volunteers should write their name on the Board, similar to the procedure followed by the regular employee tutors. Upon departure, Volunteer should erase their name from the board.
- ISSUE RESOLUTION: In the event of any type of issue, in a case where the volunteer cannot resolve, or simply has a question, the Volunteer should escalate to a Faculty Tutor so they can follow the proper Escalation Procedure.
- FOUNDATIONS LAB OPENING and CLOSING PROCEDURES: STEM Center Volunteers are not permitted to open or close the STEM Center.
