Foothill Is A Non-Smoking Campus
Smoking Policy

To provide a healthy learning and working environment for students and employees, smoking is prohibited in all indoor and outdoor campus locations, with the exception of designated areas as defined by the college. See map below for specific locations in parking lots listed.
Fines
The Foothill College smoke policy is guided by District Board Policy 3217 (revised March 12, 2012) and California Government Code Sec. 7596-7598 (amended Oct. 8, 2011). Smoking fines are distributed 70% to District Police and 30% to Health Services stop-smoking programs.
Smoking outside of designated areas will result in the following fines:
- $25 / First offense
- $50 / Second offense
- $75 / Third and subsequent offenses
- Note: Fourth or subsequent offense may also result in student judicial proceedings

Designated Smoking Areas
Smoking (e-cigarettes included) is permitted ONLY in the designated areas located near the following parking lots:- Lot 1
- Lot 2
- Lot 4
- Lot 5A
- Lot 6
- Lot 8
- See map below. For specific locations, look for the RED SMOKING AREA BANNERS in the designated parking lots.

Cigarette Butts are Litter!
Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground in the designated smoking areas. Throw cigarette butts (and other trash) away at the nearest trash receptacle. Take pride in your campus and help keep it clean and beautiful!
