Meet Our 2024 CHW Student Ambassador

Hi! My name is Cheryll Cortado!

I’ve worked in the healthcare field for 20 years; the past 9 years in public health working closely with underserved populations to ensure access to high-quality care services and supports. My passion for heath advocacy and helping those disproportionately impacted by health inequities and disparities sparked my interest in community health work.

I look forward to learning more about community health work through the CHW certificate program and grateful for the opportunity to support and serve as the program’s ambassador.

Past CHW Student Ambassador

Justin Greene served as our first ever CHW Ambassador in 2023. 

He started at Foothill as a dual-enrolled high school student and got drawn into health by his first health class, Contemporary Health Concerns. He dove into health and health equity, learning about the complexities of our healthcare system.

He is currently studying at Willamette University majoring in public health! We thank Justin for his truly amazing service in 2023!!!
