About the Program

Our panel of guest speakers will talk about sustainability, social justice, climate change, education, and micro-credits. Learn about global issues, broaden your perspective, and gain knowledge and skills to help you have a more positive impact on the world.

Founder of the Karat School Project, an organization with a mission to provide a skills-based education to children and women living in extreme poverty.


Montserrat Garcia Juarez


Caseworker (JD) in The Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA), an organization with a mission to help immigrants, refugees, and their families join and contribute to the community.


Steve Hambright

Senior Program Director of Dream Volunteers, an organization with a mission to change the world by empowering the next generation of changemakers.

Roopak Kandasamy

President of the Governing Board of 350 Bay Area, an organization with a mission to build a grassroots climate movement in the Bay Area. 

Janice Zdankus 


Technology Executive and Social Entrepreneur. Works to combat inequalities in engineering fields by supporting young women and men in the underrepresented groups to pursue STEM professions.
