My involvement in journalism and activism has shaped my commitment to amplifying student voices and expanding access to political education. On ASFC's Admin Board and as Co-President of Enactus, I've led community-centered projects and gained insight into how to advocate for lasting change here at Foothill. I'm committed to promoting awareness around student rights, equity, and civic engagement through student-led forums, accessible digital spaces, easier access to voter registration, and events like Advocacy Week - so every student feels informed, empowered, and heard.

Sofia Calderon Candidate's Statement: My name is Sofia Calderon and I'm a first-year Biology major running for Vice President of Senate at Foothill. Moving to the U.S. from Mexico, I faced challenges navigating college that inspired me to join ASFC as an agent for the Equity and Inclusion Committee. I am also involved in Outreach, through which I've connected with students and helped turn their needs into meaningful change - such as opening our campus gym. If elected, I would continue to improve campus life and utilize the skills I've gained to ensure your student rights are upheld and that your voice is truly heard.
