Principles of patient motivation and education; etiology, process and prevention of dental decay and periodontal disease; design and management of a plaque control program, brushing, flossing, adjunctive aids; dietary counseling for caries risk. Intended for students in the Dental Assisting Program; enrollment is limited to students accepted in the program.
