Cal Grant Priority Deadline

The most important deadline for the Cal Grant is March 2. Due to the weekend it will be March 4 this. Be certain that you submit your completed FAFSA and your verified Cal Grant GPA Form by the March 2 Cal Grant application deadline.

Cal Grant eligibility could add up to $1,672 to your Foothill College financial aid award. Cal Grant awards do not have to be paid back.

Upon transfer to a California four-year college or university, you may receive up to $12,240 in addition to the basic $1,672 award. There are three different Cal Grants: Cal Grant A, B and C.

Cal Grant A pays for tuition and fees for Bachelor's degree programs. Eligible students may place the award on reserve for up to two years while attending community college in a non-Bachelor's degree program.

Cal Grant B recipients may receive a living allowance ($1,672) at community college; upon transfer to a four-year institution, he/she continues to receive the living allowance plus the tuition award in the same amount as the Cal Grant A.

Cal Grant C recipients must be enrolled in a vocational or technical program and receive $1094 per year for a maximum of two years.
