Minimum technical requirements include the following:

  • Access to a modern PC or Macintosh system capable of running the Web browsers recommended on the Etudes Gateway (click on the System Requirements button on the left side)
  • Reliable email software and active email account
  • Reliable internet access (from home, college, work, or another facility)
  • Modem speed of 56k; High-speed Internet access (DSL, cable modem, etc.) strongly recommended
  • Printer strongly recommended
  • Sound card and speakers strongly recommended
  • Your course may require special plug-ins (free) to access Streaming Media
