Veterans Resource Center

History & Accomplishments

History

In 2010, the Foothill College Adaptive Learning Division and the statewide High-Tech Center Training Unit (HTCTU) of the California Community Colleges teamed up to develop, launch and support the Foothill College Veterans Resource Center. The Veterans Resource Center has been helping veterans and their families since September 20, 2010.

This innovative pilot program served as a model for community college campuses to provide veterans with a successful transition to academic life, as well as to meet the unique needs of these returning veterans and military families.

Foothill College was one of 15 community colleges in California awarded a grant from the state chancellor's office to develop an on-campus Veterans Resource Center offering comprehensive support services for Veterans attending college.
