...a classroom activity which will expose you to the complex issues surrounding the German unification of 1990. We hope that your participation in this case study will result in a better understanding of Germany, its history and the ramifications of unification.

Before leading you into the Case Study, we would like to thank the people who have made this Web site possible.

We thank Michael Getty who, in collaboration with Brian Vetruba, originally created this case study at Stanford University. Subsequently, Kathryn Strachota, Marc Sachon and Falk Cammin of Stanford University revised and expanded the simulation activity, providing the essential content for this version. Falk Cammin and Meredith Heiser, with the generous financial support of Foothill College, conceived of the Web version as a teaching tool, provided further background information and linked the case study to supporting sites.

This Web site has truly been a collaborative endeavor and we would welcome your feedback. Please direct your comments, questions and suggestions to Falk Cammin.
