Jordana grew up near Santa Cruz, California and has also lived in Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, D.C. Both her Ph.D. dissertation and book analyze race, gender, and landscape in memoirs by diverse writers from the American West. She specializes in teaching American literature, Native American literature, and composition, critical thinking, and reading.
