Konnilyn Feig is professor of history and political science. She is the former Dean of Business and Social Sciences at Foothill and the Senior Vice President of SFSU. She holds a B.S. in Business, a B.A. and M.A. in History, a Ph.D. in History/International Relations, and a postdoctoral MBA in International Business. She is a specialist on Central Asia and the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Nazi Germany, and has been honored by organizations and countries for her international work for Holocaust victims, Soviet prisoners in the Gulags, cancer and other projects in Eastern European countries. She does consult with groups, individuals in the Caucasus and Central Asia. She was actively involved in Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia, during the latest war and aftermath and is working now with Central Asia and Kosovo. She was involved with the latest upheaval in Uzbekistan with Andijan and with torture victims. A prolific writer, her major book on the concentration camps is: Hitler's Death Camp: The Sanity of Madness. She received the Foothill President's outstanding faculty medal/award in 2001 and was selected as the faculty commencement speaker for 2001.
